Comparing Polish Medical Schools
Poland has more medical programs available in English than any other Eastern European country; there are 11 schools in Poland offering a total of 17 medical programs in English to which graduate applicants are eligible to apply.
Admissions Requirements
Of the Eastern European countries, the admissions process in Poland requires the most steps. Just like in Ireland, several medical schools require either the MCAT or the GAMSAT, or a special examination offered by the University in chemistry, biology and physics. Additionally, some medical schools require a personal statement with prompts like "why I want to become a physician" and most courses, especially 4 year programs, require an interview.
The application deadlines are usually between May and August, which is very good for those also applying in the UK, Canada or the US, as students can wait for the results from these applications before submitting their applications in Poland.
